Preston Parmley is a native of Elkhorn, NE and first “caught the bug” for agriculture while working many summers on his uncle’s cattle operation. While earning his degree in Mechanized Systems Management from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, Preston was introduced to emerging ag technologies through working with the UNL-AIRE drone research program. After college, Preston combined these two passions and started his career with Valley Irrigation. During this time, he acted as Product Manager for several new development projects and product releases as part of the product management team focusing on irrigation controls technology. In 2021, Preston made a transition to TreadSure as Product & Sales Manager leading TreadSure’s growth to agricultural equipment dealers across North America. Throughout this experience Preston was immersed in the agricultural machinery industry and the growing Nebraska AgTech ecosystem, which led to several opportunities including being selected as a semi-finalist in the North American Farm Bureau Ag Innovation Challenge. In 2023, Preston joined the Grain Weevil team as Senior Product Manager focusing on customer requirements and go-to-market strategy of the Grain Weevil platform. In his free time Preston enjoys spending time in the outdoors hunting or boating, and working on the occasional drone project.
